Gas main replacement works
Gas mains replacement works within Langton Way (East End) will start W/C 26 June and will be accelerating the program to complete the works ahead of the summer holiday period. Hopefully this will be preferable to many residents as they will no doubt be on holiday through the summer and you won’t be disturbed by works at that time.
We will try and get more detail on exactly what is planned, but in the meantime, if you have any queries, can I suggest that you contact Mr Hoad the program manager on his email Neil.Hoad@ffg.uk.com
Greenwich Get Walking
Greenwich Get Walking is a healthy walks scheme run by Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT), alongside the Royal Borough of Greenwich. This programme connects local residents with a wide range of free walking opportunities within the Borough of Greenwich, to improve physical health and wellbeing. Greenwich Get Walking is part of Ramblers, the biggest walking community in the UK which supports people to access green spaces and live healthier lifestyles.
Walking can increase cardiovascular fitness and muscle strength, and reduce body fat. It burns calories, builds stamina and can make your heart healthier. Walking can also reduce stress, improve mood and quality of sleep. The interesting and varied walks with Greenwich Get Walking have a huge range of benefits for health improvement.
The walks are entirely free and those interested are warmly invited to simply show up on the day, there is no pre-registration required. Check out their website at greenwich-get-walking for more information and for healthly walking dates.
